Everyone tells you when you get a professional job in an office, you need slacks and a blazer at all times. When my current job said their dress code was smart casual I didn’t know what that meant so I searched for inspo ASAP. I couldn’t find much about it but now that I’ve been in the office for a while I wanted to pass along some casual workwear inspo and my fav pieces to wear for this attire.
Some common items you will see throughout these posts are a good pair of mules and my blue light glasses. Mules are my go-to at the office because they are the perfect mix of comfort and style. The clear blue light glasses come in a pack of two with a tortoise pair from Amazon, but I like the clear ones a bit better. There are definitely better quality blue light lenses out there but for the price, these do a decent job at preventing eye-strain from my computer at work.

Monday
Monday’s outfit features a more put-together version of a T-shirt. It’s a nude color with pink undertones and tiny gold flecks in it that make the outfit less casual and more office-ready. My top and handbag were both Marshall’s finds but I will try to link similar items if I can find any. The pants are from Target and they are one of my favorite Mom Jean styles to wear! They are super comfortable as they stretch throughout the day, not too much, just enough to allow your waist some breathing room. To finish off the look I am wearing a pair of black faux suede mules that I got from Forever 21 about a year ago.
Tuesday
Don’t the subtle ruffles on the sleeve of this top scream Spring to you?! Grabbed my eye immediately.
Wednesday
Black denim is great for giving the appearance of being more professional and dressing up an outfit a little more for the office since the color allows them to resemble slacks. Perfect to pair with a collared blouse.
Thursday
Blouses in fun colors can allow you to have more fun with your wardrobe while maintaining an appropriate appearance.
Friday
Love shirts with small, fun details like this top with the lace sleeves. Adds a little more personality to an otherwise plain outfit. Earrings are also another great way to spice up a work outfit.
