At the start of every season, sometimes well before the season starts if I’m being honest, I like to compile a list of different pieces I want/need to add to my wardrobe! It’s a good way to stop myself from buying unnecessary items and keeps me on track to trying the trends I’ve been wanting to try. I hope this list offers some fun seasonal inspiration for your own wardrobe.
Graphic T-Shirt Dresses
A big key to my Spring & Summer wardrobe is comfort. You don’t want to be feeling any kind of restricted in this hot humid Texas weather, believe me. T-Shirt dresses provide the overall comfort I am seeking. You can wear them to a family gathering, to run errands, or just around the house! The ones with graphic designs on them just add another layer of cool than the plain ones in my opinion. I love to wear mine with sneakers. Currently own one, on the lookout for maybe 2 more!
White Wide-Leg Pants
This is a super-specific item, but in the midst of working from home, I found the most comfortable high-waisted, wide-leg sweatpants and they are so pretty. I wish I could wear them out but society wouldn’t respect me, plus they’re also a bit see-through. I’ve lived my whole life without flashing anyone so I plan to keep that up! I just want a light, linen type material I can feel comfortable in during the hot months. I don’t want the pantsuit material. I hope you know what I’m talking about! It has been hard to find some I love, but the search continues!
White Blazer
Okay, we can be honest here. I saw someone on Instagram get a white blazer so now I NEED a white blazer. It’s that simple… but also not really because it all comes down to material with me. I cannot stand to be in hot clothes during spring/summer. I would 100x rather be cold than be sweating my makeup off. That makes it hard when I say I want to wear a blazer in the summer, which is essentially a coat. I get it, I’m crazy. However, I believe with the right thin material we can pull it off. Will I find the ONE? Who knows, stay tuned.
Straw Bucket Hat
I saw someone last year wear one of these and have had it on my mind ever since. They are finally back in stock and you best believe I bought myself one! I do think it’s such a modern twist on a classic seasonal trend. These might not be for everyone but don’t knock it ’till you try it!
Braided Sandals
I’m pretty sure this trend is new this year, but I fell in love at first sight! There’s something romantic about the braided detail in these sandals that instantly softens up any outfit. These braided sandals also come in many different styles so there is bound to be something for everyone! You will definitely keep seeing this all season long and I bet they’ll come back next year too.
White Tennis Shoes
This is just my thing. I want platform shoes. I’m a little late on this but I did buy some chunky sneakers that I’ve worn a couple of times and they’re not doing for me anymore. I’m on the hunt for some Air Force 1 type shoes. The only reason why I haven’t pulled the trigger yet is that I’m really waiting on a sale so I don’t have to drop $100+ on a pair of shoes. The most I spend is $60 on shoes… so that’s who I am as a person.
